“Everyone… huh?”
“You haven’t been very subtle with the ring,” Oikawa continues blithely, nodding at the silver band on Iwaizumi’s finger. “Everyone’s been trying to guess who you’re married to—recently, they’ve started placing bets on people, and they have this whoooooole list of names. Everyone’s put in 5000 yen on their guess, and everyone’s only allowed to bet on one person at a time, and no one’s been crossed off the list yet, so—” He breaks off, seemingly running out of breath before taking in a large inhale and continuing. “So, we need to get a divorce so that I don’t have to give Tobio-chan 5000 yen.”
“What,” Iwaizumi says blandly after a pause.
“Iwa-chan!” Oikawa wails. “Tobio-chan guessed me! I can’t let him win—I’ll lose, obviously, because I couldn’t bet on myself, so I just bet on someone random—you know, like Selena Gomez—”
“Selena Gomez?”

Summary
At this point, it would be… foolish to pretend his fans were the only reason he found himself at Aoba Johsai Café so often. Were they still hunting Oikawa down after every shoot? Sure, but it was definitely his own two feet that dragged him to the familiar coffee shop day after day.
It was during one of these routine visits, as Iwaizumi was making Oikawa’s usual order, that Oikawa couldn’t help but blurt out, the thought that had plagued him all this time:
“You really don’t know who I am?”
Iwaizumi sent him a quizzical stare.
“Uhh, yeah,” he started with a snort, and Oikawa felt his heart drop to his shoes. “You’re that ass that comes in two minutes to close.”
…right.
Well, he wasn’t exactly wrong.

Oikawa sucks in a breath and continues staring at the water. He should have known that Iwaizumi wouldn’t let him back out – and that’s another reason why Oikawa loves him so; Iwaizumi forces Oikawa to show up, forces him to work through the things that make him uncomfortable, forces him to be the best version of himself.
After a moment, Oikawa responds. “I’m trying to say that I missed you.”
Iwaizumi pauses. “And I said that I know that.”
Oikawa sighs and presses the heels of his palms to his eyes in frustration. “No, I don’t think you do.” He murmurs. He drops his hands back to his lap and turns to Iwaizumi so that he is finally looking at him. “I’m saying that I missed you. Miss you. I want – “
There are fingers on his cheek, stealing the breath from Oikawa’s lungs. The pool lights reflect in Iwaizumi’s eyes like twinkling stars. He is beautiful, like an untamed garden or a wild, rushing waterfall. Oikawa’s heart feels so full of adoration that it hurts.
