Kaveh stares, like he’s picking Alhaitham apart with a single solemn stare. At that moment, he's not Kaveh who often gets drunk to forget about his own problems, waiting for Alhaitham in the tavern to come and drag him back to their home, to drunkenly throw empty insults at the younger for not understanding his ideals on the way. It's Kaveh who graduated top of his class, who made no enemies, approaching every single student in the Akademiya to make friends. It's Kaveh with a heart of gold, his senior who was kind enough to approach the arrogant kid in the library.
After the Akasha shut down and let the people of Sumeru dream again, Alhaitham experiences his first ever nightmare.

Aphelios has been irrationally pissy lately.
He doesn't know if it's the fact that he seems to be stumped in writing lyrics as of late, or that nothing he writes ever sounds right to him, or that he can never seem to be satisfied in his own craft. Maybe it's just that Kayn has been pissing him off with his usual remarks, but he has never been this agitated before. Maybe the noise in their dorm has been becoming so unbearable that he can't focus.
Maybe it's Sett and his stupidly big biceps that he loves to flex.
Aphelios can't help but think that he's doomed himself once he realizes his attraction towards his roommate, Sett.

“Phel, look at what you have,” the voice is barely distinguishable in the crowd of people who are cheering them on–Heartsteel. But Aphelios hears it as if it were spoken right into his ear. It’s a phrase he hears often in different fonts, but it’s a phrase he’d rather not hear at all. The way the media tries to portray him and his role within the band is enough to make him question himself, stirring the inner workings of his mind. Aphelios stays lost in his own silence, unable to voice his turmoil.
Sett easily takes notice, not speaking on it until he finds the right moment.
