Summary
It's been months since he joined Rhodes Island. Młynar has gone on a few missions under the doctor's command, and he can't help but say cruel, unhelpful things to her... Nevertheless, she accepts him. Eventually, she requests him to be reassigned as her assistant, to his total bewilderment. The start of his assistantship is the start of him realizing there may have been more to those "cruel words" than he thought.
This is how Młynar Nearl slowly, slowly falls in love with the doctor, as well as how he is eventually pushed into actually going for her. I'm sorry I'm bad at descriptions. Please refer to the tags to know what you're getting into.

Originally trained as a paladin by her late father, Róisín (ROH-sheen) turned against his teachings when she was only 16, blinded by the percieved glory of showmanship. Much to her mother's disappointment. The life of a bard wasn't all about songs and telling stories and being famous, however, as she eventually had to learn about patron politics the hard way. Faced with betrayal of a special kind, Róisín closed her heart and put on a mask. Playing a role, upholding a sheer facade, was easier than actually feeling about anything.
While in the midst of a bad breakup with a certain dragonborn merchant playing the badboy, and reeling from her mother leaving on an adventure to "save" her father after a letter claimed he wasn't actually dead, the skies rip open revealing a nautiloid passing by...
