You just dragged me over here with your sexy earrings and it was so hot I think my brain short-circuited. Oh fuck I’m talking out loud, aren’t I. In the children’s department no less. Why am I such a wreck, I knew my mother raising me to adulthood was a dire mistake—”
There’s a snicker from behind him and Namjoon turns very slowly on his his heel to find another wide-eyed elf blinking back at him innocently. His dumb velvet hat and red striped uniform tells Namjoon he must be one of the poor part-timers who doesn’t get paid enough to deal with this shit.
His nametag reads Jungkook, and for all intents and purposes, he looks like he works here.
Namjoon has a dilemma. A big, fat, troublesome, very annoying, Santa elf related problem.
Two Santa elves actually, his mind corrects.

"Fuck this shit," from the man beside him is what finally shakes Namjoon out of his stupor after hearing it for the third time in five minutes. There's a glass of whiskey in his hand, a leather duffel at his feet, and a totally wasted year to think through and mourn before he gets anywhere near the airplane set to take him back to New York City.
"Tell me about it," he mutters under his breath, before setting his glass down with a loud clack.
Namjoon had flown to Korea with a plan. And now he's returning home with a crushed pride that's certainly seen better days.

So far he’s deduced three things, and these things Jungkook Jeon is absolutely sure of:
1. The electoral college is kind of fake and he secretly wants to move to some red county in Florida to make his vote count for more (Jungkook thinks he’d be fucking awesome at playing the role of ~exotic pool boy~ to some old white folks).
2. Those frozen chocolate covered raspberries he saw on Tik Tok are absolutely worth the $4.99 he had to shell over at Target the other day, like he will gladly let his neighbor suck him dry (blood-wise, and maybe dick-wise, too) in exchange for a lifetime supply.
And:
3. His hot, ultra sexy, kind of mysterious, but also kind of dorky neighbor, Namjoon Kim, is probably a vampire.

“I can confirm that we are not in love. We are stupidly compatible though, don’t you think?”
