Beomgyu sighed, a long, drawn-out affair that hung in the air for a moment too long. He ran a hand offhandedly (ha, see what he did there? What a literary genius he was, truly.) and sighed again.
“Fuck it, I’ll just tell you. I’m dying in a week.” His eyes were half-lidded, brown eyes peering sleepily through a curtain of messy hair at Taehyun. He looked so tired too, with those eyebags like bruises flowering under his eyes.

Summary
Life is harsh on the high seas, especially as apprentices on the Queen’s Pride beneath the cruel Captain Kwon, a man who Beomgyu suspects may be the most incompetent sailor in any of the eight kingdoms’ navies. As such, it doesn’t particularly shock anyone when their ship is beset by pirates on the dangerous shortcut where anyone foolish enough to sail is always... well... beset by pirates.
None of them exactly planned on getting kidnapped by said pirates though. Huh. Does it still technically count as kidnapping if they're better off than they were before?
