Qiuyuan narrowed his eyes as Scar's breath tickled his ear. Even when Scar's slightly chapped lips grazed against the skin of his jaw, Qiuyuan stayed still.
“You get excited like this just from fighting?” Qiuyuan asked, sounding unimpressed. “Are you a masochist?”
Qiuyuan wasn't sure why he wasn't backing away or pushing Scar away. Perhaps it was something related to the fact that it was indeed a dream; it could be that despite being conscious, it was some other part of Qiuyuan's brain taking control rather than the rational part.
“Maybe? Or maybe it's the opposite,” Scar responded without much meaning.
Qiuyuan quietly exhaled as he thought of a possible explanation for his weird state of mind.
“What are you thinking about so seriously?” Scar called out to him, snapping Qiuyuan out of his thoughts. “Are you considering it? Haha.”

Sometimes Yusuke would find him falling asleep under the shade of its tree, falling deciduous leaves narrowly missing his tranquil figure. The sun is kind and the chill of the wind lightly brushes the hair spread out on his peaceful face. He looks so calm when he’s in a deep slumber, but when he’s awake, the fiery ocher in the leaves reflected him well. Unassumingly determined, perhaps mischievous as well. He’s the bridge between summer and winter for a reason.
In other words, Yusuke thought he was beautiful.
