Speaking of, much like Drew Tanaka, why did Percy Jackson know so much about gay sex?
(And much like Drew Tanaka, Nico did not ask).
Or, during Nico's sixteenth summer, and Will's seventeenth, their relationship changes. Percy is also there, for some reason, invested in Solangelo?

But as opening night draws close, he has been receiving some very harsh criticism from leading magazines of this business, theater critics and even some of our own sponsors due to his apparent lack of participation.’
There was no missing the derision laced in the low cadence of the producer’s voice. There was perhaps no one more invested in the play than Nico himself and even Will was loathe to admit that the accusation was quite unjust. But the business world was a brutal place.
He shifted uneasily. ‘So, what is your solution?’
Reyna laced her fingers in front of her face. ‘I want you to pretend you are dating Nico in front of the cameras.’
‘What?’Or: Will Solace and Nico di Angelo, co-stars for the upcoming Broadway sensation 'Shot In The Dark', can not stand to be in the same room together. This is as clear as day, as evident as the earth that revolves around the sun. And they have to pretend to be dating.

Just asking the question brought a familiar heat to his skin, a heat in his cheeks that he knew all too well. Were his fingers… shaking? Eugh. He knew this feeling all too well—he was ashamed.
“It…” Kayla repeated carefully, “as in…”
“Sex?” Austin asked.

NICO thought that he was okay... That he didn't need as much attention and recovery period compared to the first time he went to Tartarus, but each passing day, it's as if the world was trying to prove him wrong. Could it be that he was merely making himself believe this? He just wanted to be there for Will! And for that... He had to be strong, right? He thought he was okay, but is he really?
WILL still get nightmares ever since Tartarus, and can you blame him? He tried so hard to overcome his past struggles, but as Tartarus continues to torment him, said struggles began resurfacing, and it made him sick to be regressing. When can he truly start moving on? When can he start growing? What did he have to do to be as strong as Nico?! What did he have to do to grow away from his struggles for the second time? To turn this regression into progression? To overcome this helplessness that he always hated?
