Hey all- my first attempt at a fic in a loooooong time. I’ve been playing BG3 since early access so I’ve been an Astarion simp for years now.
This is going to be a slow burn. On the sweeter side, with some spice down the line. More like a short romance novel and less like a one shot. Which are the sort of things I like to read. Mostly writing this for myself- but heck I'd be thrilled if one other person read it!
This is written in the third person limited perspective and will switch back and forth between an original female character who awakens on the beach just after escaping the Nautiloid and later Astarion’s POV.
I highly recommend you play the game first, but will warn you this obviously contains spoilers for the plot. I hope to cover acts 1-3 all the way through to the end.

Based on a piece of dialogue I overhead between companions.
Tav wanted to do something nice for him, nothing more. She helped him find a way to bathe in the middle of the wilderness and expected nothing in return. An inconsequential gesture that should have been part of his plan. A signal that what he was doing had worked.
