Bakugou had been going to BeansPot Coffee for a long time. A hole-in-the-wall coffee shop in the middle of the city, the place was a wonderfully well-kept secret – and that was exactly how he liked it. Which was why he was instantly on guard when he walked in one morning to see a new face standing behind the counter.
Well, actually, first he saw his hair. Stop-sign red and styled up into spikes. Between that and the way-too-wide smile that stretched across his face, he was almost hard to look at directly.
Too goddamn bright for this early in the morning.
Or, pro-hero Ground Zero had a morning routine that he liked perfectly fine, thank you very much. That is, until a bright-eyed new barista showed up to throw a wrench in it, one caramel latte at a time.

“Yeah, it looks good…honey.” The words sound incredibly awkward leaving his mouth, and he’s sure everyone around him can feel it too. It makes embarrassment rush through him, and he clenches his fists. The woman running the stall slaps a hand over her mouth, and gods, why did he agree to this in the first place? Nothing could convince him that it was worth this embarrassment.
But then Sethos breaks out into a smile so large that Scara genuinely winces under its ferocity. His eyes curve into crescents of happiness, and maybe the embarrassment that Scara feels weakens in intensity, but only a bit.
“Thank you, love. I knew I could count on you.” Sethos says, grabbing his hand and pressing his lips to Scara’s cold, synthetic skin. He doesn’t even flinch at the feeling, his eyes boring into Scara’s, and suddenly Scara regrets ever agreeing to this plan, but for very different reasons.
Sethos is currently Sumeru's most desirable bachelor, and it's getting harder to deal with every day, so he enlists the help of the most unsociable man in all of Sumeru to get people to leave him alone. By...suggesting they fake a relationship.
