Summary
He turns around so he's facing the skylights, and you can only see the back of his chair. The both of you are looking at the city. Beautiful, old city where the poor die young and the rich live in their towers never coming down until their corpses need to meet the grave. You stand there for one long moment, at your city with its old buildings and washed out gutters, cast in perpetual shadow except from the occasional flicker of light from the streetlamps that didn't have their lamps shot out. He thought it was his, as did every wannabe in this city. But when you looked at it, you knew. You knew it was yours.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father.
Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. He'll be his own hero because he's learnt from his own experience, people are selfish and the only one he can rely on is himself.
Left alone to fend for himself in the world, Izuku goes out to change things on his own terms, despite his methods being slightly illegal. Keyword, slightly. It's only illegal if he gets caught, right?

Summary
A storm-heavy wind crosses, but the movement through underbrush is something else entirely and he doesn't need to wonder if the traps here have caught game. As he pushes aside the leaves, he reminds himself that he's always let those who've suffered for his survival rest comfortably before their deaths—has always asked for understanding from what he’s killed.
There’s a limp, hung thing snared by the throat through the first wire trap he checks—white fur matted from the struggle that broke its own neck, blood-red eyes glassy and staring into the distance.
Tsukasa tries, more than anything, not to think about the fact that he’s never done the same for Senku—asked—not because he’s afraid of the question, but because he knows the answer already and doesn’t want to hear it.
A dead thing can’t forgive, but a live thing can, after all.
