It was a shame that the one reason Link went to Rito Village now was the only place he wasn't allowed to go near anymore–but that didn’t stop him. He had to visit more often, he had to make up the hundreth excuse to bruise bones and cut his palms climbing to get to that damned bird.
Link couldn’t let anything stop him, not blood or rain or the impending weight of doom that hovered over the Divine Beasts. Not when he was just weeks away from losing him.

Sidon's scales are bright against the glow of the luminous stones in the Prince's quarters.
“Color?” He breathes into the air.
Link uses the sign for "emerald" and quickly fumbles with his hands to say "green" and "please, please green" as quickly as he can before Sidon covers Link's flustered hands with one of his own.
Sidon chuckles and leans close to his ear. One hand has somehow found its way to Link's waist.
"Oh, little pearl. I did in fact hear what you called me. Can you say it for me again, hmm?"

Where after reuniting over difficulties in the Zora Domain post-Calamity, Link’s memories of his past encounters with a particular Prince leading up to their reunion resurface. As they celebrate their time spent apart and heal from past hurts, Link remembers more and tries to figure out what he wants out of his new life in the process.
