The idea of retiring was rather strange to Nestra. Even stranger was the idea of owning land in a tiny town no one had ever heard of. She wasn’t against small towns, their closed circles, the wariness of strangers, or their unique customs. She had just never imagined she would be more involved. After all, being a Adamantine level adventurer meant she was always on the move. Often, she only steps through the town before moving on to the next. When she did stop it was usually only for a few hours respite before traversing in the direction of her next prey. The idea of retirement was strange. Strange to the guild masters, strange to her fellow adventurers, and strange to her. But, well, she has a reputation for being…flexible. Amongst other things. She also has the reputation of no living being ever seeing her face, or whatever amount of face can’t be seen beneath her helm. Nestra has decided she will retire in this small town of Mistria, and what the townspeople don’t know surely won't hurt them.

Summary
You are a new guardsman at the Card Castle in the Dark World. You're awaiting the arrival of the Lightners, who have just began their journey. Being that you're from a non-Card Caste of the Dark World, you're stuck with the sleep shift, the most boring of all the castle's guard duties. Exhausted, you make the hasty decision to enter the castle's other floor without permission. A couple stupid mistakes and bad jokes later, you find yourself faced with a magical pocket dimension housed deep in the Castle's bowels. A faceless prisoner beckons for your attention, and you're happy to give it to him.
Includes Reader with a dick throughout. You're a Darkner but your anatomy is otherwise left up to interpretation, though it is written with the assumption you are human-shaped (similar to, say, Rouxls Kaard). The Reader has no explicit dialogue, so feel free to imagine how you'd say what you're saying, if you get what I'm saying. I apologize in advance for the probably very flamboyant interpretation of Jevil, but hey, he's got a big, BIG…personality! Side note: this is technically a Pacifist save, but Jevil still has his tail because I like it.
If something doesn't make sense, the answer is probably: it's magic!
