Summary
Sunday feels he lost everything after the events of Penacony and is left revealuating every detail of his life. Past trauma he has not addressed with his sister continues to bubble up, and persisting through his pain is not producing the same results it used to. Robin suggests joining the Astral Express and Sunday disagrees, but the crew become his only option. Fortunately he is accepted as the sixth passenger. As time passes, Sunday learns to exist comfortably, addresses his childhood trauma, and learns what love is.
Please please please trust me that things end up okay. I just don't want to portray mental illness incorrectly. It's real and will be sad but I'm aiming for it to be uplifting.

Summary
“If this occurrence is so fleeting, why does it trouble you so deeply to hurt someone who has already hurt you?”
“Because,” Aventurine said, anger sharpening the edges of his words, “He’s eleven, alright? He’s eleven years old and he just wants to see his sister again.” Ratio’s expression flickered, a terrible pitiless sorrow turning his mouth. That it was for him made Aventurine burn with shame. “And anyway, he fucked with my head,” Aventurine finished, rather lamely. “I know my enemy and he wasn’t a child.”

Summary
Aventurine sees the world as one grand gamble, where people are merely chips in his hands. Sunday sees himself as an ideal instrument of Heaven, bound to a mission with no room for failure.
When an angel falls, only a gambler would be reckless enough to catch him. And only an angel can see the true nature of the shadows that have haunted Aventurine his entire life.
But, unfortunately, they are not the only players at this table, as the hands moving the pieces have plans of their own.
