Summary
Wei Wuxian, recently disowned by the Jiang, takes a new job in a new town to try to get a fresh start. On the employment form, it asks for an "emergency contact". It's a required field to submit the form, which totally sucks because Wei Wuxian doesn't really have anyone to put.
He's frustrated, and trying not to be depressed about it as he's filling the forms out at night in his small, one-bedroom apartment.
And yeah, maybe he's had a few drinks when he thinks: wouldn't it be funny if he put Lan Wangji as his emergency contact?

This was a random WangXian brain worm that I woke up with a while back:
The Aunties had always thought Lan Wangji was not interested in relationships and would remain a bachelor forever, very unlike Lan Xichen who'd always had a bit of a roving eye. They were, therefore, surprised but extremely interested to note just exactly where Lan Wangji's eyes were focused when he had approached their food stalls while Wei Wuxian was bent over, laughing. This was the moment they had been waiting for and they would not miss their chance to see Lan Wangji finally settled down!
This is a cleaned up threadfic that I had posted on Twitter, but am moving here since... things are uncertain there LOL.
