Summary
Six years ago, Shen Qingqiu escaped his plot-ordained death by secretly cultivating a new body. His rebirth came at a cost, however: the loss of his memories.

But although he recognizes the setting of Proud Immortal Demon Way, he soon realizes that this story is different: something, or someone, has substantially altered the plot.
To uncover the truth, Shen Yuan will have to restore his missing memories… while also protecting Bai Wentian from this world's chief danger: the protagonist himself, Luo Binghe.

Summary
In which Shen Qingqiu pulls a heist to free Luo Binghe from Lao Gongzhu's clutches, where he's trapped under Huan Hua Palace.
Fully believing Luo Binghe will still want to murder him afterwards and plagued with terrifying nightmares, Shen Qingqiu is still willing to give his all to save his disciple.
Luo Binghe enjoys his new role as Shizun's damsel in distress, and finds this all terribly romantic. Shen Qingqiu will catch up... eventually.

(Luo Binghe has never forgotten one of Shizun's teachings, not even when the Endless Abyss tried to wrench it out of his grasp. So even though he doesn't set out to become the personal cook of the Qing Jing Peak Lord... Shen Qingqiu did say any future wife...)
