Summary
Kris broke their promise. They knew the hell they would unleash by refusing to open a dark fountain in Flower King, and still, they couldn’t bring themself to do it. They crawled through an open window into the school, and tossed themself into the abyss at the bottom of the supply closet.
What they didn’t count on was for Susie to follow them.
From the southernmost point in Castle Town, she saw it all—the Knight’s arrival, the fountains bursting from the dark. Even the cell phone Kris left behind, still whirling and shrieking its incoherent tones. Then, suddenly, it turned on, and a single contact appeared: Noelle.
In the crumbling remains of Castle Town, it’s up to Ralsei and Susie to save the prophecy, the darkners, and in fact, the world as they know it. Armed with a fading connection to the chaos unfolding in the dark, Noelle faces the daunting task of recruiting the refugees of Castle Town for one final battle.
From the Card Kingdom to TV World, from the shelter to the school, the world is growing dark, darker, and darker still.

Through it all, you’ll need each other. Your help, your trust, your strength, and you'll need to plan and struggle and fight to reach the truth through the confusion, the highs, the lows... and of course: the omnipresent darkness.
