Summary
On a warm summer evening, Éponine lay on her parents’ bed, curled up in her maman’s lap. One hand, nails long and sharp against her scalp, tangled itself in her hair as the other pinched a smoking cigarette in the corner of her eye. The muscles in the underside of her maman’s jaw clenched, as though lost in thought.
Suddenly, she spoke, the words tumbling out of her mouth: “You should never talk to handsome strangers, my darling.”
Éponine darted her gaze up, but the chin above her offered no answers when faced with her questioning glance. “Maman?”
“You might fall in love,” the chin went on after a beat, “and that will doom you. Just look,” her voice drips under the weight of her scorn, “at where that got me, hmm? Married to a bastard.
“Not you, yes?” She dipped her head to stare into Éponine’s eyes. “Promise your maman you will never.”
The hand in her hair paused its steady stroking; her maman kept focus as Éponine blinked. Even the cigarette smoke in the air seemed to hang still for a moment.
“I promise.”
“Good.” A pat on the head. A drag from the cigarette. A moment never forgotten.

Summary
Enjolras touches his fingers to Grantaire’s cravat again, meeting his eyes once more as though looking for approval, and when no resistance meets him, he tugs lightly until it comes undone. Grantaire watches him, ready, but Enjolras merely closes his eyes, breathing in once more—smelling him, Grantaire realizes now. “Go on then, Apollo. Feast upon me, sip from the cup of life, drink from the drunkard—”
Grantaire stumbles across Enjolras one day, who's hungry for blood, and like any good revolutionary would, offers himself up.

Summary
Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. Summary

[Sokka is five when the first mark appears.
It writes itself in a deep red like a wound, as if someone had carved the word “nonbender” in a messy font across the knuckles of his left hand, as if it was handwritten with a knife.
When he asks his mother, as she applies salve on Sokka’s knuckles, she sighs deeply and says nothing for a few moments.
“Sometimes, spirits don’t make much sense.”
Sokka has yet to turn thirteen when he wakes up screaming in pain, about ten soulmarks all over each other between his left shoulder and his ear, red and vivid like burning flesh. Among the few words that are somehow possible to read out of the disastrous scribbling, “disrespectful” and “coward” and “burned” and “sorry sorry sorry” are the ones that stand out the most to Sokka. He thinks, at the tender age of twelve, whoever did this to his soulmate will be sorry too, one day.
A month after Hakoda leaves him with the job of the protector at the age of thirteen, Sokka realizes, with a bitter taste in his mouth, that he’s got more soulmarks than his entire village combined.]
