Summary
Nandor and Guillermo have been divorced for six long, long years. Of course, they were never married in the first place, not in any other way than in practice; That would have required an aptitude for interpersonal reciprocity that Nandor simply has never thought himself to be capable of.
So to put it more accurately — more honestly, perhaps — it has been six years since Guillermo left Nandor to pursue a human life. But honesty was never Nandor's strong suit, either.
Or: AU in which instead of going to Derek in the end of season 4, Guillermo just left.

Laszlo has leftover vampire sunscreen, just enough for a day in the sun. On a whim of softheartnedness, he gives it to Nandor, who he reckons has been a little down for the last couple decades and could use some cheering up. It's the perfect opportunity for Nandor to spend some quality time with his familiar, who hasn't really been around lately.

"I bet that feels really good."
Guillermo had said it casually, in between fistfuls of popcorn, immersed in the magic of the movie and completely forgetting who he was watching it with.
He didn't realize his mistake immediately. He watched the damsel be drained dry in black and white and fall to the floor with a dramatic gasp, unaware that he was being watched keenly from the other end of the couch. The realization crept in only when he heard Nandor stir next to him, shifting ever so slightly.
"It does."
The vampire said it matter-of-factly, so unbothered he might as well have been talking about the weather. In hindsight, it should have been the first warning sign of an approaching curve, a slippery slope up ahead. Nandor had never cared to talk about the weather.
"Would you like to try?"

Nandor's hum doesn't indicate that he will actually move. It's Guillermo who gently rolls Nandor's head to the left where it hangs over the back of the chair, standing over him with floss wound round both his index fingers, hands clad in disposable black latex gloves. He looms over Nandor from behind, using his spare three fingers to nudge him under the jaw. It's just easier this way, he's found, after some trial and error.
---Guillermo routinely flosses Nandor's teeth for him.

Summary
The mirror gave Guillermo a bad feeling. It sounded too ridiculous to articulate even in the recesses of his own mind, but Guillermo felt like the reflective lens itself was watching him, despite being an inert sheet of glass over metal.
A possibly cursed mirror? Sure, why not. It's not like Guillermo's life can get any worse, right?
