Alastor watches as the pale man raises his hands. His finger lightly dances across the top of the altar in a circular motion. His arms looked as if they had been dipped in ink. The pure black skin reached just above his elbows.
He tilts his head with a little sigh. Alastor couldn't see it, but the way that he spoke, the angel almost sounded bored. As if this was something that he encountered every night.
He watched the blonde hand fall back to the altar. His head tilts back, looking up at the wooded raptures above them.
“It is curious, though.” Even without his eyes on him, Alastor felt as if hundreds of them were staring into his very soul. “A priest who murders others.”
Alastor feels his breath stop as he turns his head. Blue eyes caught in the moonlight, making them glow with celestial magic.
“Tell me Father.” The angel says. “What is your purpose in doing so?”

"You should leave me," Jaskier mumbles. It takes a second for Geralt to parse out the words, and when he does he feels ice chasing the potion through his veins.
"Stop fucking saying that," Geralt says, and maybe he is angry at Jaskier - not for the injury, never that, but for the idea that Geralt would consider leaving him behind. For thinking even for a second that Jaskier lying abandoned on a battlefield to die is a price Geralt could ever pay.
