Summary
It’s never a dull day at Scorpio’s Kitchen. While waitressing as a full time career has never been in the cards for Hermione, it’s been a decent enough job to help her pay for her schooling. For those who care about such details, Enola and Tewkesbury are almost 20 and 22, respectively, when they marry at the end of Much Ado Before I Do. This picks up right after the wedding ceremony at Ferndell, when the family party has traveled to Basilwether Hall for the wedding banquet.

Though he adored her, he didn’t always understand the way her mind worked, and the stories she told of how she had grown up sounded more like fantastical stories than anything he could imagine actually happening. Then again, he had met her brothers and her mother briefly at the wedding. When he stopped to consider it, he found it rather easy to envision the small but fierce woman teaching his wife chemistry, physics, archery, and any number of unusual skills that she always seemed to pull out whenever it most suited her.
Not dancing though. Dancing he had taught her, and he would hold onto that with smugness.

Summary
Takes place one year after The Last Jedi. Some elements from TROS (planets, characters and some plot beats), manipulated a little or a lot to suit my version of the story. Expect appearances from past and present characters and conflict within our two opposing sides; the Resistance and the First Order, as the galaxy at large comes to terms with the complications and consequences caused by the dyad
Rey and Kylo are very conflicted over the events in Snoke’s Throne Room so prepare for a very slow-burn romance, angst and humour as they sort out their feelings over a lengthy resolution to their epic star-crossed drama.
This is everything I would have loved to see in TROS to close the circle of the Skywalker Saga and resolve Light and Dark, albeit with a lot more introspection than would be permissible for a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster. But it’s Star Wars and my two favourite characters and I can’t help digging into their feelings as events unfold. Written in the third person, mostly from the morally confused and increasingly enamoured perspectives of Rey and Kylo.

Puzzled, Finn watched the floor next to R2-D2 as the holo slowly took shape, scan lines thickly visible on the old-format hologram. It was a man kneeling, one hand pressed to his side and the other supporting himself as he leaned heavily against the ground. "Chewie," he said, and Finn blinked at the hologram because surely that couldn't be who it looked like.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me," Poe said.
The Falcon leaves Exegol in a hurry to help some of the other systems that are rising up across the galaxy. But when the next battle is over, they get a holo message on the ship's oldest comms system—one that's been broken since years before the Resistance was founded. Finn doesn't have any idea who's calling, but Chewie and Lando seem to have a guess.

“Ha!” Poe laughed hard at this, incredulous. “*Less* likely to kill him? Wow, he must have really pissed them off to say something like that. So, what? Are you telling me he wants to join *us* now? That seems unlikely.”
Rey wasn’t sure how to say the rest, so she decided not to overthink it and just spit it out. “He says he wants to train me in my use of the Force.”
*A/N, 5/4/2022: Wrote this story after TLJ, which was by far my favorite of the sequel movies. Thought I’d give this some new life on May the Fourth, so forgive me if you’ve already read this and were looking for something new—it isn’t new.
