Summary
Ever since his best friend had basically ditched him to play beach volleyball in fuck-off nowhere, clear on the other side of the world, Kageyama had developed some unhealthy fitness habits. Namely, running so far and fast that all thoughts left his head in favor of pure exhaustion.
As it turns out, realizing that you’re in love with your best friend of three years as they’re leaving the country to live abroad for an indefinite period of time is really inconvenient.

OMGGG i adore this so much. kageyama pining and yearning for hinata is my favorite. i love how angry he gets that hinata is playing better and looking better and getting lots of fans HAHAHA!!! iwaizumi gave him such good advice but i LAUGHEDDD at how iwaizumi thought kagehina and hinata were together because of the gay shit they said to each other 😭😭😭 literally only kagehina would act like a couple all the time and not think their feelings would be reciprocated. and when kageyama went to confess but was too shocked by how good hinata looked that he just left 😭😭😭 bruh he’s so funny!!! and them him getting upset that hinata confessed first and hinata getting upset that kageyama didn’t tell him earlier HAHAHA would only happen to kagehina

The first-year shuffles toward Kuga, Tsu, and Nakamura. He keeps his eyes cast toward the floor.“He looks so pissed!” Nakamura squeaks, hiding his face behind his hands. “He isn’t even looking at us, and I feel like he’s mad at me! Why is he even coming over here? Oh, God.”
The first-year stops at the end of the bench, dropping his bag onto the floor. He bends at the waist and lets his long hair fall over his face as he bows.
“Kageyama Tobio,” he grunts. “First-year sports sciences major.” He straightens again but still refuses to make eye contact. His fists are clenched at his sides, and his mouth is drawn into a constant scowl. Kuga and Nakamura stare openly at him.

im literally melting!! at how sweet this is. i loveee fics about outsiders’ view on kagehina so much!! it is so funny how kageyama’s mood changes based on if hinata is with him or not, and how it doesn’t affect his playing but he just seems grumpy all the time. their level of closeness with each other is SO SWEET like wym they only confessed to each other after so long??? i love how they’re so endlessly proud of each other but also keep bickering and competing over everything. their teammates being so confused at their antics is everyday!!! im also a biggg sucker for krsn5 friendship so the part where kageyama is so significantly lighter around them makes me so happy <3333 i also love how kageyama considers his teammates his family 🥹🥹🥹 it really shows how much he trusts them!! this was sooo freaking cute and im forever jealous of the bond kagehina has together!!!

I AM SMILING EAR TO EAR FROM THIS FIC!!! absolutely what i needed to start a new week :,,) i love love love kagehina being so domestic and sweet with each other, both immediately confirming that they want to be more to each other than just a hook up. and i do love that kageyama’s reasoning to keep the relationship a secret isn’t even because he’s scared to tell others, but because he wants to keep it for just him and hinata <333 i love that the two of them deal with their body teammates in different ways, but overall are terrible liars 😭😭😭 also i am a sucker for krsn5 friendship and tsukishima both scolding kagehina and calling them his best friends in the same breath means everything to me!!! love love love this fic so much <333

gahhh this is so sweet :,,) big fan of kageyama’s dramatic inner monologue, and i love his backstory with his grandfather’s cat. also kageyama and hinata’s characterisation are so top tier! i love how they argued about being ghosts at the alleyway 😭😭😭 and how their teasing is their own brand of love, and they can go from bickering to showering each other with compliments in an instance <333 hinata being so good with animals is sooo cute and i love how kageyama wants to be good with animals too!! maple is so adorable and the perfect pet for them <333

Summary
Hinata sends Kageyama good morning and good night texts, he tells Kageyama stories about his roommate, his job, and about volleyball. Always volleyball. It never gets annoying, or overwhelming, or boring. In fact, it doesn’t do enough to soothe the ache of missing his best friend.
Hinata also sends pictures. So many pictures. Too many pictures.
The pictures are usually silly and cute, (like Hinata, his brain supplies unhelpfully), snapshots of his sunny days in Rio. But between the pictures of sunsets on the beach and funny road signs and new recipes Hinata is trying out, he sends pictures of himself.
The problem is: Kageyama likes the pictures a little too much.
Or: Hinata gets unbearably hot during his years in Brazil, and it makes Kageyama open his stupid lust-addled mouth to say all the wrong things. The way Hinata responds, he wonders - hopes - that they're actually all the right things.

can’t stop grinning at this absolute masterpiece!!! the perfect blend of romantic and sweet, sexy and angsty, i love it!! omg kageyama is SO REALLL because hinata is so damn fine like i would be in awe and shocked too 😭😭😭 i love how kageyama can barely keep his emotions together when hinata sends him messages and photos!! and omg the tension is crazy!!! i love the push and pull that they do, just like in all their competitions. it’s so cute how they constantly update each other on their day to day lives <333 and omgosh!!! when hinata finally came back to japan <3 or more like when he finally came home to kageyama 😭😭😭🫶🫶🫶 literally SUCH a romantic reunion!! i love how they both admit how much they love each other <333 absolutely adore their relationship so much!!!
