“Get off me!” Sonic's voice weakly pitters to the entrance of the alley, soft impacts of his gloves and elbows batting at the grimbot that grapples for him, trying to restrain him, subdue him.
Shadow bursts around the corner, ready to punch through whatever metal head waits for his energized fist. He sees Sonic on the ground, blood oozing from above his eyebrow and one nostril, a grim bot straddling his chest as it keeps both hands around the thin, blue throat. Another punch is thrown, knocks Sonic’s face to the side with a worrying lurch.

Shadow spends his junior year, much like he’s spent the rest of high school, trying to make himself invisible. His only sense of solace and escape from the emptiness from his everyday life is through his blog.
He wouldn’t let some anon who had been obsessively interested in it from the beginning take away from that, even as their comments became more and more…concerning.
He only wished that the attention didn’t get to him like it did.
