A throat cleared. Oh-so-slowly, a tentative hand raised from a few cells down.

Turning his eyes towards the rest of the room, Fox glowered at his audience- the five shinies that were gaping at him with open mouth and eyes as wide as dinner plates.
“No one will believe you,” Fox told them with a sharp tug on his blindfold, causing the knot to unfurl and the silk to slither down his neck. “CO comm codes. Now.”

Summary
The people of Petrex were very set in their ways, and the ones who didn’t change their minds fast enough perished in the bombing. Prowl doesn’t miss it, or them. He doesn’t miss the stares, the rumors that came with being different, being defective. The whispers that that mech just wasn’t right, that the tacnet had been a bad idea, that there was no use for a mech like that and building him that way had been cruel, proof that the government couldn’t be trusted to do the work of Primus. Then came the war, and suddenly Prowl was the most useful mech in the province. Suddenly, his defect meant something.
Prowl works himself to a breaking point.
