Summary
Yuuji Itadori is spiderman in Shibuya during his University days. He is a terrible student (though that was a thing before the spider bit him and he lost all his time to do his homework) and he finds himself in need of a tutor with no money. Desperate, he turns to a shy, quiet boy in one of his classes for help.
Megumi Fushiguro isn’t a straight A student by any means, but he’s no slouch when it comes to schoolwork. He finds himself in an arrangement with another boy in his class. Megumi tutors him for free in exchange for the privilege of staying in Itadori’s room [a single with two beds] when his roommate decides to throw parties.
Both boys find themselves in the age-old dance of trying to see if the other likes him. Itadori is distant and dry at night– often leaving hangouts or study sessions in a hurry– but warm and talkative during the day. Megumi is receptive to flirting from Itadori, but famously thinks that Spiderman is an idiot and should leave crime fighting to the police.

“Oh… Mr. Itadori, you mean… you don’t know?” The man’s voice sounded grave.
“Don’t call me that. Just call me Sukuna. And no, I don’t know. What the hell am I supposed to know?” Sukuna barked back. Now he was getting irritated. “You’re speaking in code, asshole. Why don’t you just spit out whatever it is you’ve called me for?”
There was a small pause after and the man on the other end cleared his throat.
“I’m terribly sorry to be the one to tell you. But… your brother and his wife… they’ve both passed away.” The man named Ijichi said sadly.
OR
Sukuna hasn’t talked to his twin brother Jin for thirteen years. The last time Sukuna saw his nephew, he was two years old. Now, Sukuna has no choice but to take care of his fifteen year old nephew, who he barely knows. This was definitely not in his life bingo card.

“Oh. Gojo, seems like you’ve caught Ryomen’s eye. Then again, you were always his one that got away.” Mei Mei giggles. “Murder is always romantic, isn’t it?”
“Are we going to ignore the fact that there’s a dead person in the kitchen and you just cooked food in there?” Kugisaki questions no one in particular. She's still eating the fries, though.
“Ah. So, Itadori-kun, what did Ryomen- or Sukuna, say about me?” Gojo hums, sounding pleased with himself. “That we had sexual tension? An intense rivalry? Or that I’m better than him? That he’ll never be able to kill me no matter what?”
“Yeah, he talked about you lots,” Itadori says, taking a sip out of Kugisaki’s coke. “He said you were annoying.”
Kugisaki chokes on her chicken nugget.
A beat of silence. Even the sound of cards patting the table stop.
“And that you had no sense of boundaries.”
Itadori just had to pee, Kugisaki just wanted a cheeseburger, and somehow they ended up working in a McDonalds that turned out to be a front for the cheesiest and most absurdly cliche mafia they've ever seen.

It takes a bit more soft coaxing, until Megumi finally peeks over the covers. His eyes are red-rimmed, and the tip of his nose glows pink in the moonlight.
Gojo’s heart stammers. Megumi had been crying. The emotionless, bratty kid that had stubbornly squeezed past the iron defences of Gojo’s heart, has been in pain and is crying.
“Megumi,” Gojo says softly, at a loss for words.
At this time of the night, in this mood, with sleep dragging the vowels of his words into something quiet and raspy, Gojo can’t find the energy to joke. Instead, he leans in, hands ready to scoop the little boy up and hide him from the rest of the world. Then, he stops. Megumi probably wouldn’t appreciate that.
The first words that come out of Megumi’s mouth are unexpected. “I’m a bad person.”

He takes in a heavy breath and pretends these cheap sunglasses hide his dark circles as they wheel the poor kid in.
"Hey," Gojo rasps. "Miss me?"
Megumi's eyes go wide in horror. His jaw hangs slightly agape. He's breathing too fast. He doesn't say a word.
“Fushiguro?” Yuji's hand hovers over his shoulder. Megumi smacks it away harshly.
He trembles as he gets to his feet, then trips unceremoniously toward the foot of Gojo's hospital bed. Satoru instinctively reaches out to catch him, but he's too slow in his sewn-up state, and Yuta gets there first.
There's tears running down the kid's face. Guilt is a weighty boulder between the two of them.
Megumi claps his shaking hand over his mouth, but he can’t contain an emotional dry heave. Yuta escorts him to the trashcan so he can sob and vomit freely in terror.
Gojo sits there stupidly, unable to do anything else.
