Robin looked skeptical. “So why didn’t you dance with Letty?”
Ramy sighed, as he let his arm fall gently to his side. “Why would I.”
“How could you not like Letty? She’s beautiful and perfect.”
“She’s a woman. I don’t fancy women.” Ramy replied in earnest.
“What? Then who do you fancy?” Robin seemed scared to ask the question.
Ramy extended his arm again, his palm facing the ceiling, asking for Robin’s hand. “Why don’t you come find out?”

Basically, what if Victoire knew? About Ramy and Robin? And on the night of the ball, she helps them find time and space by themselves to dance with one another? This is in Victoire's limited pov, so keep that in mind :)

“Listen, I… I’m sorry. And… thank you.”
“For what?” Will frowned.
“Just,” Mike shrugged one shoulder. He paused. “You didn’t… you didn’t make yourself sleep on the floor because you thought it was unfair, or you thought you owed me, right?”
Will’s lips returned to a smile. “No, I said I wanted to, remember?”
“But… why?” Mike chewed the inside of his cheek, glancing around the room that was no longer dark, daylight seeping in behind the curtains.
Will was silent for a moment, before confessing, “Same reasons as you, I guess.”
Mike bit back a grin. “Okay.” Will knew there were multiple reasons.
“Okay,” Will echoed, and Mike let himself grin, turning to face Will with a full-on beam. He couldn’t contain this.
Will’s lips parted as the corners of his mouth rose, shy yet unequivocally trusting, and so Mike couldn’t help but try and stumble through this avowal, “You know, I… I sometimes,” always, “feel like you… like you know me better than I know myself. Do you get that?”
Will tilted his head, assessing Mike, and he murmured, “Yeah. Yeah, I do.”
