The quiet gasp that left the confines of her mouth was what stole my next breath, because her eyes were sparkling, she was radiant, and she was completely transfixed. “It’s beautiful,” she said, and her voice was full of such wonder and conviction I almost could have been convinced she’d never seen it before. If only she had not been looking at me.
“It is,” I said, but I missed the way the sunlight glared off the stone and focused on how well the reflection complimented the shades of blue in her eyes.
Only then was she significantly more eager to turn and bare the back of her neck, raising what little of her colorful hair was obstructing my decided path. Only then did I hesitate, my fingertips just a breath away from her skin, and turn over the remaining options in my head. Only then did I finally lean in.

“Deported, Evan. You didn’t fill out some paperwork on time, Copeland said she tried to call.”
There’s a knock at the door, and then in walks Diaz.
“Sorry, sorry to interrupt. Mr. Buckley, Carla’s on the line and she’s requesting your attention as soon as possible, says it’s an emergency,” Diaz is good, damn him, for a second Buck actually thought Carla needed him, and he’s taking a moment to breathe as Diaz keeps lying. “I told her you were engaged in a meeting, but she insisted, so…” Diaz trails off, looking at Buck oddly and that’s fair, because Buck’s staring at him like he's the solution to every puzzle in the world.
He just might be.

The crazy adventure of Lalisa and Jennie, the most stubborn duo to ever exist.
"Are you platonically breaking up with me?" Jennie huffs out, a deep frown settling on her face
"Yes."
"You can't." Jennie says immediately, a whine to her tone.
Lisa nearly laughs, Jennie had no idea how enamoring she looks when she's anywhere near annoyed - protesting and whining like the spoiled chaebol child she was, except she wasn't bratty.
Brows furrowed, teeth clenched, and her bottom lip just slightly jutted out into a small pout. Jennie was used to having the upper hand, used to being in control. People practically and willingly fell on their knees to be at her mercy.
Somehow it was only Lisa who could dare defy the little princess, and successfully be in triumph.
"Why not?" There's a sly smile on Lisa's face, and it turns into a grin when she sees Jennie's frown grow deeper. Only she could get to her nerves that quick, Jennie could easily look pass and ignore her like she did everyone.
But Lisa wasn't everyone.
