Summary
Stiles knows the forest that grows around Beacon Hills like the back of his hand. So, of course, he knows about the house that sits beside the river. A fire destroyed it years ago, leaving it nothing but a blackened shell these days. It still serves a purpose, though, because there are still plants growing in the old garden. Plants, which Stiles needs for his tinctures and balms. He always tries to harvest as much as he can when he's out there, because he doesn't trust the eerie building.
He knows, he's right, when one day his harvest is interrupted by a dark looking man. He drops the basket his mother always used, when he flees. Only to later on get it back from a young woman. She warns him off, but he goes back anyway. He needs the plants and he's curious, of course.
Adding to that, there's a new family in town as well. And Stiles doesn't have a good feeling about them.

Summary
There’s a boy exiting the doors as they approach. Where Derek is tan from hours outside, the boy is pale except for a few beauty marks on one cheek. He’s dressed in fine riding clothes, and flanked by a guard wearing the sign of the royal house. A noble, then. He’s younger than Derek, but, considering his higher station, a bow would be appropriate. Despite that, Derek can’t help looking curiously at the boy, who’s looking back at Derek with just as much interest. For a moment, their eyes meet - the boy’s are a deep amber in the sunlit courtyard, ringed by long, tawny lashes.
A gloved hand smacks the back of Derek’s head and he instinctively flinches away, hunching his shoulders. He loses track of the other boy as they pass one another, and as he turns to get another look, the knight grabs his shoulder and marches him forward into the stable.
“Keep your eyes to yourself,” the knight instructs. “And next time, show the proper respect to Crown Prince Stiles.”
Or: A medieval AU that's a little Princess Bride, a little bit more Game of Thrones, and a healthy side-serving of gay erotica.

Stiles's job at the Ministry had been more boring than he had anticipated (Muggle Liaison Officer had sounded cool on the pamphlet but in reality was a lot of Floo calls from panicky wizards who had jammed their wands in electrical sockets and slightly toasty Muggles listening shell shocked as they held their previously non-combustible children). The teaching gig was a good job in the interim while he waited for something more interesting to come up.
Plus, there were certain perks to being a professor: private baths, an entire office that had been shielded from magic so he could have CoD tournaments with his OWL students, and, most importantly, soundproof bedrooms.

Stiles’ dad had recently gotten a new job in the FBI and he had the brilliant idea that because he would be called a way a lot and with the extra income he should send Stiles away to a privet boarding school for rich kids. Send him away from all his friends and people that actually like him (well most of them anyway). Like his dad didn’t know how hard it was for him to make friends in the first place know he wants him to try and make friends with people like Jackson Whittemore rich, privileged, spoilt and probably just as stuck up and we all know how well they got on.
Or the one where stiles is made to transfers schools at the start of sophomore year to a privet boarding school where Derek happens to be a junior and the nephew of the principal, Derek and his friends rule the school. What happens when he and stiles don’t get off to the best start?

Summary
Derek is a socially awkward, struggling writer who works in his parent's grilled cheese restaurant, barely able to cope with the fact that this is his boring, simple life. A single blog changes all of that. A single post on thegirlwhoknewtoomuch.wp.com about how divine the Hale Melt's grilled cheese sandwiches are ensures that the store is bombarded with an enormous amount of new customers. They hire on Stiles Stilinski to help out - he's loud and he's spastic and he gets along with Laura eerily too well - but somehow an unlikely friendship forms between Derek and Stiles. With Stiles's help Derek learns to overcome his confidence issues and from that point on Derek's life finally starts to come together.
