Summary
Toph laughs, because of course she does.
“Scar, huh?” She asks, voice as bright and teasing as it’d been throughout the play, and Zuko hates how his heart drops at the sound of it.
“Must be pretty noticeable,” Toph continues, ignorant to the shame and hurt that wells within Zuko’s chest at her words. “But I bet it looks badass!”
Which… Wait, what?
(a missing scene from The Ember Island Players)

Summary
Instead of squinting away like Izuku would, Shouto’s eyes seem to grow warmer as they stare into the sun, seem to grow softer.
In the glow of the early morning, the sky painted in hues of red and pink, it almost looks as if the sun itself is reflecting from Shouto’s eyes, his dark pupils dyed gold by the light.
(or, four times izuku watches the sunrise with shouto and the one time he doesn't)

Summary
"What are you doing?" Shouto asks.
"Hugging you." Midoriya returns in a patient voice. His arms tighten around Shouto's waist and he presses his forehead more firmly against his back. "You know it's a hug, Shouto-kun. Don't play dumb."

Surprisingly, it’s Luther who notices first.
“Klaus is gone,” Luther says in his best listen to me because I’m Number One voice, but Ben is the only one that seems to have heard. “I’m not kidding, guys.”

Summary
When he thinks back on it, Klaus can’t really remember when it started.
That’s probably because it never really started, but was more picked up by his family as something not so normal instead. Which, thinking about it, is stupid considering just how not normal the entire lot of them are.
Or, Klaus hates the ghosts, but he hates the mausoleum more

Summary
“Your master must be fond of sending others to do his dirty work,” Halsin said.
Astarion’s eyes flicked up to meet his gaze. He was shrewd; he knew then that Halsin understood the situation. Halsin belatedly realized that the vampire spawn’s flushed face could be from hunger. Halsin’s chest dripped with freshly spilt blood.
“You have no idea,” Astarion said in a tight voice. “How much of his dirty work I have done.”
Halsin spread his hands in a gesture of surrender, of passivity. “I know it wasn’t your choice.”
“I did what I had to do to survive.”
Halsin recognized the words; he had said them before himself.Astarion adapts to his new life in the sun, seemingly free of Cazador, but with no shortage of enemies who would see him captive again. Halsin, burdened with responsibility for so many that he often forgets himself, encounters some of the same enemies in his quest to restore the balance of nature.
After rescuing each other in a goblin camp, the pair finds they may have more in common than shared enemies...

Summary
Maybe it wouldn’t be such a problem, he thinks, if he could just tell Lance the truth. Maybe, he thinks, then Lance would understand. And he wouldn’t get so pissed at him for almost accidentally killing himself once a week. Maybe it would be easier, if he could just be a little more honest with them both.
But the thing is, it’s not easy. If things were easy, Keith wouldn’t be out on the training deck every night until he’s so exhausted that he can’t see straight—until he reaches that point of fading out of focus just long enough for the gladiator to sweep his legs out from under him. And if things had an easy explanation, then he wouldn’t need Lance to patch him up in the hours where all of their friends are asleep. And he wouldn’t be bleeding. And he wouldn’t be hurting.
_Keith tries to navigate leadership and the messy concept of love in all of its forms—all while trying to keep the darkest, buried secrets from his past from bubbling back to the surface. It doesn’t go as well as you might expect.
