Summary
Mean Girls (2004) is a fantastic example of a timelessly relevant and thoughtful movie. This is because teenagers will never cease to be selfish, image-obsessed mongrels.
It isn't Hunter's favourite movie, but it's up there in the best human fiction he has yet to encounter. It so eloquently explains itself and its message: that reprehensible behaviour is appealing and attractive to people who want to belong to an in-group, and that nonconformity and kindness is a moral responsibility under such conditions.
