George stumbled back, his clout goggles clattering to the ground.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Here, I think these are yours?" A rough voice frantically muttered.
After his dizziness subsided, George regained his balance and glanced up to see the boy from next door. He was holding out his clout goggles, an apologetic smile on his face.
George took them wordlessly and slipped them back over his eyes.
"You look familiar..." The boy squinted at him.
"Shit." George's mind began racing for an excuse as he sucked in a harsh breath.
"Wait, aren't you the kid who lives in the two-story house on Silver Street?"
He nodded, hoping that this boy didn't recognize who he was.
"Oh, cool! I live next door. The name's Sapnap, by the way."

Why was this dude so cute and why was Quackity only noticing it now after years-? His thought was cut off by Sapnap suddenly ducking, grabbing him around the waist, and lifting. He let out a shriek, slamming his hand harmlessly against the football player’s shoulder.
“So if I toss you right now, you’ll do a flip?” Sapnap teased and Quackity tried to choke down the butterflies in his chest enough to give a witty retort.

Quackity's senior year of high school was supposed to be simple. Continue pining silently after his best friend, Karl. Continue being the best damn member of the cheer team with his friends Niki and Puffy. Dodge around the assholes on the football team who liked harassing him. Get into college, smoke with George and Karl as soon as football season was over, and graduate with his usual high grades while also skipping as much as possible. Instead, he was here, falling hard for Karl's boyfriend Sapnap, getting into arguments with his other friends because of it, and trying to hide the fact that the football team was getting progressively worse.
Yeah. This year was going to suck.
