For someone who only does what he ought to do, keeping track of things and remembering it isn't really his forte. He just does what he wants, and that's tending to flowers that he will sell later on, once the ray of sunshine bursts in the dew-stained windows clad in blinds. Remembering customers and their names is normal, it's his job, and it's a necessity if he wants to show proper customer service.
But remembering the very moment when a certain customer arrived, what he looked like, how his face distorted in such an unreadable expression that he found interesting, how the clothes he wore indicated the rush of running. That's not very normal now, is it?
