Summary
After the tragic death of Nancy Wheeler, Mike Wheeler has been struggling to move on, drowning in grief and guilt. His family had fallen apart— His father consumed by rage, kicks Mike and Karen out, taking Holly with him. Mike feels lost, weighed down by regret, wishing he had done more to save Nancy.

'No the fuck you don’t,' Mapicc grumbles, face still smushed against the pillow.
Bacon tries to wriggle out of Mapicc’s hold, but he just squeezes his arms even tighter. In literally any other situation this would be sweet, but right now Bacon needs to get up way more than he needs to be his boyfriend’s personal teddy bear. Which is unfortunate, but it is what it is.
'Dude. We can cuddle later. I have to go be boring and employed right now.'
'You don’t have a job,' Mapicc insists, lifting his head from the pillow to bury his face into Bacon’s chest. 'Your job is being warm and comfy.'Bacon is late for work. His boyfriend seems unaware that Bacon even had a job in the first place.

He doubted Mane understood what was happening. His teammate, after all, was also a nether demon, and a nether demon’s lungs emitting smoke or even fire when angry was pretty normal. As far as Mane was aware, Mapicc was the exact same as FlameFrags. The ravenette really, really wished that was the case.
OR, Mapicc, no matter how much he tries, will never really be a demon. Of course, it's just his luck—or perhaps a consequence of his own making—that his body's most frustrating trait decides to make itself evident during one of his fights. Things go very wrong, very quickly.
