After his mother’s death, he threw himself into hockey. He hit a growth spurt. He started lifting weights, became big and strong. Not as big and strong as his older brother, but big enough to make Alexei and the other bullies think twice. Strong enough to fight back.

This isn’t what Ilya had in mind when he figured they’d be spending most of their time at the cottage in bed.He throws his arm over his eyes and groans. “I am ruining our time together. I am ruining your time off.”
“No you’re not,” Shane says. “Are you kidding me? I’ve basically been fantasizing about this.”
Ilya lowers his arm. “About me puking all over your favorite place on earth?”
“No, you asshole. About taking care of you.”
Ilya stares at him.
Shane says, defensively, “What?”
“I fantasize about you fucking yourself on boring beige dildo,” Ilya says, voice cracking, “and you fantasize about me being sick at your cottage so you can take care of me?”

He hasn’t talked to Tony in a week. Not since—the incident. He’s talked to Pepper, sure, and Happy more than anybody else, but he definitely hasn’t stepped foot in the tower since it all happened. Peter doesn’t really hold grudges, especially against people he loves, but—it just happened this way. He didn’t want it to, but it did, and neither one of them have backed down. It sucks. It sucks. He doesn’t even like to think about it. He wants it to end, but he’s still just—hurt. The deep kind of hurt that makes it hard to form coherent sentences, or have coherent thoughts.
He sighs, and Pepper looks over her shoulder at him.
“You okay, honey?” she asks, slowing down a little bit. “I swear, he’s not here.”
Peter shakes his head, his brows furrowing. “No, it’s—it’s fine,” he says.

Egon opens his mouth to answer yes, without much thought, then pauses. He lifts his head, glancing over at him.
Ray doesn't look up, staring intently at his desk with a frown, brow furrowed with his conflict. Thunder roars outside in firm punctuation.
Briefly rained-in during a visit to the still-new Ray's Occult, Egon and Ray chat about the not-so-distant past, the hesitant present, and the uncertain future. Takes place in the time-skip between GB and GBII.
