Shouyou says, “You’ve already made it.”
And yet, Tooru can’t help but think, here he is again. Back at the very beginning. He hates whenever people bring up his past as an idol because his journey is far from a success story; it’s a fall from grace.
On paper, he had everything: group members he got along with, hit songs that were climbing the music charts all over the world, a dedicated fanbase that supported each of their releases. But even with all those factors, things don’t always work out for the best of them.
“I came here for another chance, just like you,” he says eventually. There’s blood boiling underneath his skin, the ache of old wounds resurfacing, but he tames it into a smile and claps his hands together. “Now, are we going to dance or not?”

Summary
Leo bends at the waist into a bow, one arm extended toward Nico. “May I have this dance?”
The music changes on cue, the start of a new song filling the open air. All around them, other demigods are adjusting their own movements to match this new tempo, light on their feet as they swing each other in circles and exchange laughter.
Nico looks at Leo, still frozen in his position. The unspoken challenge behind his words had been obvious: if you’re not scared of getting burned, that is.
And, well, Nico has never been afraid of playing with fire.
One year after the war, Camp Half-Blood holds a masquerade party.

Summary
Rolling down the window, Nico sticks out his arm to feel the wind brush across his skin. Inside, the music that reverberates is something not-quite electronic, not-quite alternative, but somehow a combination of those, resulting in the most grating sounds Nico’s ever heard. He frowns and turns to Leo, otherwise good mood immediately soured, and tells him, bluntly, “You have the most atrocious music taste known to man.”
“How dare you!” Leo, who had been singing along to the music, pauses just long enough to look disproportionately offended. More than he has any right to be. “This is the perfect road trip song.”
