Summary
Dallas hadn’t spoken to his kid brother in six years. Not since he’d left New York.
If he was honest, he hadn’t really even thought about the kid. At first, it had just been too painful. But it got easier. And the farther and farther South he found himself the easier it had become to forget about Ponyboy Winston.
---
Or the AU where Ponyboy Winston is sent down to Tulsa to live with his brother Dallas. But it would only be for five months. Because Ponyboy would never forgive his brother for leaving. He and Dallas would never get along...right?

Summary
“I don’t mean for this to sound harsh.” Darrel said, turning back to look at Ponyboy from the doorway. “But this won’t be your permanent home. It's nothing personal. We just can't afford another mouth to feed long term.”
Pony nodded. That made sense. Why would anyone want to keep him for longer than they absolutely had to?
