Summary

Summary
James Potter’s first few years at Hogwarts are anything but quiet. From sobbing over not being allowed to try out for Quidditch in first year to becoming one of the youngest starting Chasers in second, James is determined to make a name for himself — whether it’s by befriending Regulus Black (despite Regulus really not wanting to be friends) or serenading Lily Evans on tables in front of the entire school.
Of course, all of this — the pranks, the drama, and the questionable decisions — gets relayed to Effie in a series of increasingly ridiculous letters. But while James’ adventures unfold, Effie’s responses offer glimpses of her own Hogwarts days, with flashbacks and parallels to her generation’s friendships, challenges, and lessons.
As James navigates the chaos of growing up, Effie’s letters remind him that sometimes, it’s the ones who love you most who know you best.

Summary
