Summary
Everyone carried scars after the Wizarding Wars - some more visible than others. While stuck on house arrest with very little to do, Draco Malfoy, in his quest to become a Better Person ('Good Person' was too lofty for him to hope to achieve) pursues a silly little idea: a spell that could do the impossible and heal the physical scars left by curses. Quickly two things become apparent: 1. The theory has promise, and 2. It has no hope of success without the aid of an expert in spell crafting and healing magic. That expert is easily identified: Hermione Granger, a lead researcher working for the Ministry and undisputable 'Most Brilliant Witch of Her Age'. After an uneasy start they each find the other person is nothing like they expected, and the 'sparks' they experienced in childhood take on a very different form as adults. Together they seek a way to cure their scars, both physical and emotional, but even with magic - healing is never easy.

Hermione hesitated for a moment. Her mind ran. From her secret letters with Daphne to the stolen moments in the kitchen and the classrooms she hadn’t told her about, to the warmth she felt whenever Draco’s hand brushed against her one too many times.
“It got me here.” She answered simply.
