Summary
Seoul, 2089 is a city on the brink of collapse.
It's filled with fake nature and blinding neon signs that line skyscrapers which blot out the sky. Technology had advanced far past what had once been imagined possible; AIs and Androids work alongside mankind, or underneath them as their own personal helpers.The Summer Exhibition is Seoul's most prided festival. It entails three days and nights of showcases displaying the newest produced tech, which only causes more tension between those abandoned when the world advanced around them, who were too financially unstable to make it into the city before the walls went up.
Kim Inseong is a security guard who happens to find a new piece of tech on the first night of the Exhibition; or rather, it finds him. It crashes through his kitchen window and begs him for help, adamant on the fact that it isn't just a piece of tech. At the same time, a man struggling to find his place is anonymously gifted an AI that seems far too human to be just a program, and a hitman disappears without a trace.
Questioning the legitimacy of the companies who create and sell this new and seemingly falsified life, Inseong establishes an unlikely group to help him discover the truth.
