Summary
Haley couldn’t see her eyes; Abby was shifted just enough to one side for her to murmur in Haley’s ear.
“Tell me to stop.”
Abby was breathing heavy now, too, and the thought of Abby’s pulse racing because of her made Haley tremble with need.
“Why?” Haley said, swallowing hard.
“Because you want me to stop.”Haley arched her back just enough for Abby to feel Haley’s chest brush against her own. The motion sent shockwaves of pleasure through her body, and Haley gasped, stealing the air between them. It was meant as an attempt to show Abby how untrue her words were, a loud enough display of her unadulterated want.
“I–”
Haley’s voice caught on the words, and Abby finally lifted her head enough for Haley to meet her eyes.
“Please don’t stop.”or
Alex drags Haley to the saloon so he can flirt with Sebastian. Haley gets a little drunk. Haley and Abby have a little... reacquaintance... in the bathroom.

Summary
Everyone knew Pam was an alcoholic, but nobody seemed to care. When Haley had to pick up one of Emily's shifts at the saloon, she was expected to just keep smiling and keep serving her drinks. She was expected to ignore the way she got angrier and angrier over the course of the night. She was expected to pay no mind to the way Penny completely retreated into herself any time Pam got near her, like she was scared of what Pam might do.
It wasn't like Haley and Penny were friends, even. They'd never really spoken to each other. Haley just couldn't ignore it. Penny needed help, and Haley was there, and it didn't seem like anyone else cared. So she stepped in to help.
Somehow, Penny ended up helping her too.
