Here's the thing. Ms. Swan and Ms. Mills hate each other. Their feud is the lifeblood of the Storybrooke Middle School rumor mill. Discerning observers might suspect something else entirely– a crush, masked by obnoxious hostility and even more obnoxious pranks– but in the long run, what's going to get two romantically repressed women to figure out that they're uselessly in love?
Maybe a really dramatic Homecoming. Maybe enough interference by the resident baby gays of Storybrooke Middle School. Maybe a few more moments of unexpected vulnerability.

Summary
Post-finale. Regina returns home to Storybrooke after years away to find that very little has changed in the years since she'd been gone. She still has a son there waiting, struggling to adjust to a new world. She still has a partner, a best friend in a turbulent marriage who looks at her with far too much raw affection in her eyes.
But Emma also has a little girl now, an infant with Regina's eyes and Regina's magic, and soon, all of Storybrooke as Regina has known it will change irrevocably with her arrival.

Autocorrect had turned her message from I’ll owe you to I love you. She stares at it bemusedly, her heart racing for reasons that make no sense. It’s just a typo. Of course she loves Regina, but they aren’t the type to talk about those kinds of feelings. Not when it comes to each other. She’ll have to blame autocorrect, and she pauses and starts to type–
The message comes from Regina, just as Emma begins to type again. I love you, too. Enjoy your night with Henry.

“I’m flattered,” Regina says dryly.
Her voice sounds a little strained, and Emma tries to lighten the tone. She hadn’t thought Regina would be uncomfortable with the idea of…well, Henry has two mommies, but the Enchanted Forest had seemed a little regressive. “What? Are you saying I’m not on your list?”
“Yes, Emma,” Regina says, and she barks out a choked laugh of her own. “If I were into women, you would definitely be on my list.”

“They’re from the future,” Regina says.
“They’re married,” Emma says. “To each other.” She’s still standing in the middle of the room, utterly discombobulated.
