Summary
The plan took two long months to concoct. Rodrick had always fantasized he might run away at some point, ditch the Heffley name for grander affairs. His previous imaginings had never so heavily featured his younger brother hanging off his arm, but now he couldn’t picture skipping town without him. The two had become so close so unreasonably quickly. The guilt never entirely died down, not even after Greg wept tears of joy after receiving a small, gold wedding band his future husband had swiped from a pawn shop.

Swansea shifted beneath him, clearly not entirely sure how to respond. “What do ya want from me, kid?” He paused, and then, “Don’t tell me; your parents were dirt poor growing up and you never got to sit on ol’ Santa’s lap, is that it?”
“Quite the opposite, actually.” Daisuke responded, pulling his knees up so that his weight was supported almost entirely by the man beneath him. “My parents are loaded. Christmas was always a public fuss of gifts and parties and pictures. I always got whatever I asked for.” He turned to look at Swansea from beneath the brim of his comically large, green hat. Despite the atrocious costume, he looked… good. Dangerously so.
“Is that not the case now?” Swansea asked.
“You tell me.” He hummed, expression never wavering. “Do I get what I need- and I do need it- or haven’t I been good enough this year?”Daisuke has a crush on a mall Santa

The mound of expanding foam holding Daisuke in place refused to shift, despite his attempts to twist, push, or gnaw his way out. His intentions of proving himself were now firmly buried, along with the lower half of his legs, part of his chest and his entire right arm. It certainly wasn’t a comfortable position to remain in for as long as he had been. Sweat dribbled down his forehead onto impossibly long lashes, forcing him to blink up at his boss in the way a puppy might.
