Summary
Etho reaches out and grabs it carefully, holding the sword between his fingers without letting the blade touch his palm. Not that it would matter if Bdubs decided to attack - it’s still aimed upward, toward Etho's heart, so slicing a hand would be the least of his worries. The sword is a little warm where one side had rested against Bdubs' leg.
"Just being honest." Face partially covered, he wears his smile in the looseness of his shoulders, the casual lean in his stance. "I thought you liked messing around, but I guess I was wrong."
A series of semi-connected oneshots centered around Etho and Bdubs from the earliest days, if they'd been a little bolder.

After Mindcrack, Bdubs retreats into his solo projects, getting glimpses from other worlds through the beat-up television he keeps in the storage room at Timberstone's square. And really, it's Etho's fault things get to be such a mess, since everyone's third-favorite pottery show is the reason he's now got fragile clay copies of himself causing trouble in his own world and outside of it.
In other worlds, Etho fends off wildlife and listens to the radio show of a far-off building series as he tries to keep his public access survival show going. At least he has a radio to tune into a far-off building show while he tries.

The wood of his bow is hot in his hand. He regards the Skulk, its eyes glassy and vacant, and wonders what makes him so different from this network of dead synapses and decaying bones. This hungry thing.
