Summary
This is the sort of look Aventurine gives him when he answers faculty emails while Aventurine is trying to dazzle him with card tricks. Hungry and determined. It sends an embarrassing shiver down his spine, because he knows what follows. (Hands ghosting over his skin, an insisting mouth pressed to his throat. All of Aventurine’s greed turned on him, to the task of getting his attention back.)
His core clenches. Muscle memory. Pathetic classical conditioning. He's too tired for this. Aventurine snaps at a kindly offered hand but kicks your leg out from under you just to keep your eyes on him. He must have attention, all the attention in the world. It must never be positive
Aventurine sighs. “Are you really still sore about the nurse outfit joke?”
Ratio has been overworking himself. Aventurine is bored with his mandatory sick leave, in need of attention, and definitely not just trying to tire Ratio out so he'll stop worrying about him and get some sleep.
