A plane flight gone wrong, a desperate crash landing, and suddenly hockey’s two brightest young stars find themselves stranded in the heart of the Canadian wilderness. With no way home and no rescue coming, they only have one hope for survival -- each other.

So this is my very first fanfic! I am an avid reader here on A03 and after reading literally 100's of stories, I decided to take a crack at it myself. I do not have a beta, so this was all edited me, myself and I. If you see any errors......no you didn't.

Mom herself stood weeping with one hand over her mouth.
So much for the Rozanov/Hollander rivalry.
In December, 2008, Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander met during the International Prospect Cup and jointly sized up the competition. Their rising stars were destined to follow a parallel course. But only days before the NHL draft, Hollander inexplicably committed a series of shocking murders and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Now, fifteen years later, Ilya has been arrested in connection with an international drug trafficking conspiracy, and will be granted immunity in exchange for information. There’s only one catch – authorities have discovered new evidence in connection with Hollander’s crimes, and the FBI want Ilya to visit the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane to see if a previously uncooperative Hollander will speak to the man who was once destined to become his rival… -

Summary
In Vegas, after they’d said everything right up to the edge of I love you, Shane and Ilya came up with a plan. It was long term, with many, many steps. There might be a spreadsheet somewhere that Shane won’t admit to.
But it’s a plan, nonetheless. Over the summer of 2014, they tweak it and add things important to the both of them. There are even many, extensive, contingency plans.

Thanks to Shane's small lie the first time they hooked up, Shane and Ilya are together years earlier. Now, they have to figure out what to do about it.
