Summary
Eiden has been toughing it out on his own for as long as he can remember. He has grown from a sad and lonely little girl into a slightly less sad and lonely man, and he has done it with nothing but his own resilience. He couldn’t rely on the parents who abandoned him, or the teachers who always looked the other way, or the families who left him to rot in the orphanage. He has learned, through a life of struggling just to make it to another tomorrow, that he cannot rely on anyone but himself.
And then Eiden goes and ends up in Klein; a world with entirely different laws, languages, lifeforms, everything. He doesn't know jack from shit. All he has is this weird magical gem seared into his flesh, a nonsensical mission thrust upon him due to said magical gem, and two guys who won't stop calling him their Master. Eiden will readily admit that the last part is pretty awesome, but constantly getting jumped by grotesque monsters and not even being able to read? Not so much.
If he wants to make it through all of this shit alive, he’s going to have to learn to be okay with relying on others. Fending for himself is all he’s ever known, though– what the fuck is he supposed to do when he can't even do that?

Midoriya Izuku isn't quite sure when he stopped giving a fuck.
He doesn't know when he stopped fighting back against his piece of shit classmates, he doesn't know when he stopped looking at heroes like they were saints, and he certainly doesn't know when he stopped thinking of his mother as a reason to stay alive.
At this point, the only thing Midoriya Izuku knows is that he's fucking done.
