Summary
After her divorce, Hermione decides to get out of town to recover from the pain of her lost relationship and the miscarriage she suffered a year previously. She arrives in the Cotswolds depressed and aimless but compiles a list of things to do that she hopes will help her get back on her feet. In the midst of her journey to find healing she keeps running into Draco Malfoy, who is nothing like she remembered him. He invites her into his world, and Hermione finds exactly what she was looking for - in the place she least expected it.

His breath was shallow, right near her face.The space was so tight they could hardly move.
She heard him chuckle quietly.
She stomped on his foot."Pull yourself together, Weasley."
"Aye aye," he murmured, adopting a soldier's serious face.
For a moment, they stood in charged silence. Not awkward—just humming with unsaid things.
Gwen could hear the groan of old wood, distant water dripping through pipes, Filch's footsteps far off... and Fred's breathing.
"I think he's gone," Fred whispered. "But maybe we should stay a bit longer... just to be sure." He raised his brows.
"Fred." Gwen pulled a face.
He chuckled again.
She could feel her own heartbeat—and his, hammering beneath her fingers resting on his chest.

Summary
Neteyam doesn’t move any closer to the latch of the gate, staying safely behind it where Ao’nung can’t touch him. He hides a smile and tilts his head, his hands lacing together briefly before falling apart.
“And what do we smell like? My magic and I.”
“Cinnamon,” Ao’nung says, low and dark, “and the lake out back.”
“Yeah?” Neteyam responds, fingers curling upwards as he feels power spark behind his palms.
“Mmhmm. I can smell it now. When I saw you do it, it was in the air, but I thought it was the magnolias. Then I touched you like I did, ‘round your waist. Realized it was you.” He drawls.
Neteyam flushes all dark at the memory and Ao’nung counts it as a small victory.
“You pay too much attention to me. You’ve gotta stop.”
“I don’t make it a habit to do what I’m told. Not when it comes to you. I told you that so,” he shrugs, “fair game.”
( the gothic au where the sully siblings are witches and ao'nung is two seconds away from risking it all just to kiss neteyam. )

Ao'nung takes the silence as a chance to speak the thoughts the other is thinking, fingers tight on the frame of Neteyam's jaw. He brushes momentarily over the pillow of his best friend's lips before lifting his eyes to meet Neteyam’s honeyed gaze.
"I never wanted it to be over," he rasps. "I just didn't know what else to say at the time. God, 'Teyam. I want you all the time."
The confession sends Neteyam spinning. His need streaks through him like a star, shearing the thread of self-control that was barely tethered to his body.
"Fuck," He moans before leaning over the gear shift to close the gap.
