Summary
Soundwave is missing. He was supposed to act as a diplomatic representative in Megatron's stead to complete a trade agreement; however, there hasn't been contact from him since he'd landed. As Megatron was drowning in heaps of paperwork, he was informed of Thundercracker's urgent call after he received an urgent comm from Soundwave's cassette, Buzzsaw.
Without Soundwave, the Nemesis was gradually falling out of Megatron's control. To avoid the downfall of his army, he's sent Starscream to investigate and retrieve Soundwave and his cassettes.

Soundwave was hurt and being rescued by Optimus but when Optimus tried to help and give him first aid, Soundwave resisted and The Prime had no choice but to bring the enemy's intelligence chief to Autobot base to help him treated. However, not all Autobots were in favor for Optimus's order this time

When Cosmos is caught by the casseticon twins intentionally hovering over some humans while he spies on their small decepticon camp, he never would’ve guessed that they *wouldn’t* attack him — let alone that they would find him cool!
Neither could he have guessed that they’d try to set him up with their boss, the decepticon third-in-command Soundwave.
