Summary
The cold press of Cheng Xiaoshi’s lips against his exposed skin elicits a shock from Lu Guang; a reminder. As Cheng Xiaoshi’s affection travels from his neck to his jawline, Lu Guang takes a moment to remind himself of the present; he’s in the photo studio, safe, and Cheng Xiaoshi is by his side and currently expressing his affection with each delicate peck on his skin. And once that moment is over, Lu Guang lets out a disapproving groan.

Every once in a while he catches a glimpse of himself, away from the cameras. In the moments where the unrest thrumming under the surface of his skin becomes too much. For as long as he can remember, deep-seated guilt smears his reflection: the raw, assailable image of Xia Fei.
He never notices when his breath first becomes uneven and his skin becomes clammy when he looks at himself for too long. With a deep breath, he does his best to shift back into the mirage everyone is expectant of him to be. -
