She felt the mattress dip slightly at her back, then a weight sinking fully onto it, before a large, calloused hand touched her forehead at her hairline and proceeded to pet her hair softly, lovingly and an almost unnoticeable kiss was placed on the side of her head. “My mina, vot have they done to you?” A voice whispered in her ear. Her eyes flew open immediately. My Mina. Only one person called her that. And that accent. But how? She turned her head to allow her eyes to confirm what her brain suspected. He was here. He was really here in her bed and offering her comfort. It was like a dream come true in the midst of a nightmare and something she had not allowed herself to hope for.

When they strike a deal over dinner he finds himself in England for the year and suddenly able to pursue the woman he loves. But is it right to do so when she is going through so much?
