Summary
Billy tries hard not to think about it, about how Goodnight's attention feels like something he wants to chase. Like he wants to preen and perform enough to keep Goodnight after him. Turns, checks his knives without looking away from Goodnight. Two of them lost in men's chests, men who weren't worth it but men who'd pressed too far past the muzzy line of Billy's pride.
He studies Goodnight in the late afternoon light and wonders if Goodnight's a proud man, too. He doesn't think so, not with the way his beard is untrimmed and his hair is long in a way that makes it obvious his hair's not usually long.

In the glade where the star had fallen, the gloom of the gnarled old woods was deeper than night, save around the blackberry bush that had broken his fall: the grass and the battered leaves were now luminous, moon-touched. There was a long pause, broken by the sounds of twittering insects and the forest folk, then, there was a loudly groaned, “Fuck!”
The star rubbed a hand over his eyes, then flinched and held his hand up, spreading unfamiliar fingers up against the night sky. He turned his hand this way and that, curling and uncurling fingers, then he let out a softer, yet just as vehement “fuck!” and sat up, wincing.

Summary
Written for the kmeme. During those relatively "fun" younger years, Anders managed to spawn but he never found out about it. Fast forward. Mage!Hawke (or whatever) and Anders were together, Anders dies either by Hawke's hand or in the ensuing fighting/running and hiding. And then let's say ten years after that, Hawke meets a rash mage!revolutionary embroiled in the cause who happens to look exactly like dear old (dead) dad. Hawke is in total love/lust with what is, in effect, a shiny new, younger, non-Justiced version of his/her dead love.

Written for a prompt on the kmeme: "The Templars finally figure out how to get all their mages under control without sundering their minds - a new device has been invented - a collar, attached to a leash, that allows whoever has the leash to completely control the mage's magical ability, as well as dish out discipline and reward, because the collar can both cause great pain and great pleasures. All mages are collared and trained as pets, until all they care about is pleasing whoever holds their leash. Hawke ends up with Anders' leash."

Written for the kmeme. Prompt: "Hawke is a Templar in Kirkwall. He often sees his fellow Templars abuse the mages under their "care" and is deeply disgusted by it, trying to protect them as much as he can. Anders is captured and brought to the Gallows where he's subjected to even worse treatment because he's an apostate. Hawke takes him under his/her wing to protect him. Despite his hatred for Templars Anders warms up to Hawke and eventually falls in love with his guardian."
